Full Circle Recorders Fisk Farm performance

Fisk Farm on Isle la Motte is one of Full Circle Recorders' favorite places to perform.

The famous summer Sunday Afternoons include music, art, crafts, tea sandwiches, cheesecake and other goodies - all in a lovely garden setting surrounded by historic buildings and close to Lake Champlain.

Linda Fitch is always a gracious host, welcoming performers and audience to her beautiful home and gardens.

For summer visitors, Fisk Farm means relaxing in a lovely setting, spending time outside of busy lives and at a slower, more leisurely pace.

A Sunday afternoon tea party requires fancy hats!

And fancy collars.

And even fancy socks! Mary Ann wore socks that went with our program of music from around the world.

(Just some of the places we visited with music: South Africa, China, Paraguay, Korea, Scotland, Greece, Norway, Spain, Bulgaria and Bolivia.)

As we played, members of the audience got up and danced on the lawn, swaying to our slow pieces and jigging to the fast ones.

There's as much to explore and enjoy inside the barn as out.

The area is rich in history. Right next door is the famous Fisk Quarry Preserve, with fossils that are half a billion years old. In more recent history, Teddy Roosevelt, then Vice-President of the U.S., was staying at Fisk Farm when he heard that President McKinley had been shot.

We always have fun at Fisk Farm!
