Blue Heron & Pebble Moss Finish 272-mile Long Trail Journey
Susan (Blue Heron) and Carol (Pebble Moss) finished their epic nine-year Vermont Long Trail 272-mile journey on September 11, 2016.
Neither rain, nor mud, wedding delays on Jay Peak,
nor a broken arm (atop Mt. Mansfield) could stop
this pair.

Observations
are the music
of the trail.
And sometimes, what you see
reflects the heart of nature.
Lonely hikers, rest assured, visitors from across the universe hike the Vermont Long Trail.

Susan and Carol, Pam and Maeve, Pedro, Bonnie, Beth, and Craig, Mary Ann, and Ira.
My hiking pole was a foot longer
the year I started hiking.
SPECIAL brownies to celebrate. Minty too.
Rapids crossing. Hope the rope holds out.
Pam leads the way. Tight rope walking is a valuable Long Trail skill.
Susan, it's not a tug of war!
These boots were made for walking and that's just what they did.
We are all so very proud of you Susan and Carol!
Ohhh--beautiful memories of adventure & celebrating with pals--thank you for the photo journey!!!!!!!
