About
Welcome to Full Circle Recorders of Vermont.
·
Lively tunes that will set your
toes to tapping
·
Soulful airs that might bring a
tear to your eye
·
Melodies that you’ll find
yourself whistling for days
The women of Full Circle make music with
recorders, hammered dulcimer, harp, guitar, percussion and voices.
Full Circle’s extensive repertoire includes
Celtic songs and dances, folk music from North and South America, music from
the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and a large collection of songs, dances and
carols for the winter holidays.
Susan plays
harp and recorders and sings. She teaches private harp and recorder
lessons, music and movement classes for kids, and co-teaches Allegro, a
children's chorus. Susan also sings with the women's vocal ensemble, Encanto.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
We five women have been making music together, in various combinations, for over thirty years. Our paths separated, our lives became complex and busy, but we've come full circle, all five of us making music together. Since 2000, we have performed regularly as Full Circle Recorders.

Mary Ann sings and plays hammered dulcimer, Irish
whistles and recorders. She was an elementary school music teacher for more
than 20 years, at the same time performing in various folk and early music groups. She now teaches private lessons on piano
and recorder and sings with the hospice group Noyana.

Beth plays recorders and
guitar with Full Circle. Since retiring from 34 years of running a preschool, Beth and her husband David share music and stories with
young children and their families in libraries and classrooms.
Maeve plays recorders and is the unofficial business manager and treasurer for the group. She researches the history of our music and writes many of our concert notes.
When Maeve isn't playing music, she spends time in Vermont's woods and meadows walking and watching wildlife. She also teaches classes about birds and nature and has published two novels. In the second book, Ivy's Optics, every character is either a bird or a birder.
Linda plays recorders and a wide assortment of percussion instruments.
For many years now, she has discovered a lot of new music for Full Circle and has arranged it for the group. Linda also sings with Noyana.
We five have enjoyed many wonderful "retreats", often with other friends. We spend a few nights and days at some remote location where we hike, kayak, swim, cook for each other, eat and - of course! - play music.

In addition to playing with Full

Also, Linda and Mary Ann have played with The Champlain Consort.
