Jericho Community Center Benefit Concert

Full Circle and Anima performed a benefit concert for the Jericho Community Center on Sunday November 19, 2017.

Full Circle plays traditional music on recorders, hammered dulcimer, harp, guitar and percussion, while the vocal group Anima specializes in music of  the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The two groups performed individually and together for this special event.

Anima took the audience back several hundred years with sacred music from the 11th to the 14th century.

Full Circle, dressed in period costumes,  combined carols with lively country dance music.

Members of Full Circle: Mary Ann Samuels, Linda Rodd, Susan Reit, Beth London, Maeve Kim

Members of Anima: Liz Thompson (Director), Sue Carpenter, Susannah Blachly, Kathy Isaacs, Cara Hill, Sharon Newcomb, Ellie Blachly, Nancy Snow, Kathy Light, Ellie Hayes and Susan Comen

Not all of our clothing was Renaissance era!

The generous donations from the audience will be used to augment the Community Center's funds. The old building, once the gym for the town school next door, has been undergoing lots of renovations in recent years, including heating, foundation and entrance stairs.

Anima will be performing in Cabot and Greensboro, on December 2 and 3. Go to the group's website for more information.
