Quilts and Music

Quilts are a wonderful part of Vermont's heritage: colorful, beautiful, artistic, touching, story-telling, historic. The theme of this year's Champlain Valley Quilt Guild Show is Coming Full Circle, so we were invited to play during the opening reception for quilters and their guests.

We had a great time! We were awed by the beauty, creativity and complexity of the quilts on display. We even got to pick one quilt as our favorite and award it with a ribbon!

The show runs today, tomorrow and Sunday, with treats for the eyes and soul, knowledgeable vendors, and a wonderful silent auction. Definitely worth a visit!!

It was an all-Celtic program, with tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Wales. We played on five sizes of recorders, tin whistles, harp, hammered dulcimer, guitar, drum, wood blocks and spoons.

We urge everyone to make time this weekend and go see the show!
